Michael Antoniades, MPA, is the Vice President of Operations at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. Mr. Antoniades is responsible for planning, directing and implementing programs and services including: radiology, environmental services, special procedures, patient transportation, emergency medical services, process improvement and emergency preparedness.
Before joining Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, he served as Vice President of Operations at the University Medical Center at Princeton. While there he was charged with administrative oversight and operational responsibility for environmental safety and emergency preparedness, support services, imaging services, laboratory services, faculty and outpatient physician practice management and numerous other clinical service lines. He served on the executive committee of the Princeton Healthcare System, the executive steering committee for the replacement hospital and was Chairperson of the Medical Equipment & Technology Steering Committee.
Prior to joining Princeton Healthcare System, Mr. Antoniades served as Vice President of Operations at St. Vincent’s Midtown Hospital in New York, NY. He had administrative and operational responsibilities for the cardiovascular center, pharmacy, support services, outpatient practice and the environment of care. Mr. Antoniades served on the organization’s steering committee for emergency preparedness and response. He was actively engaged with the hospital’s preparedness activities and response to a number of major events while in New York. Mr. Antoniades was instrumental in the design and implementation of the HEICS protocols at St. Vincent’s Midtown Hospital following the events of September 11 as well as in collaborating with numerous New York State and New York City agencies due to the hospital’s proximity to numerous highly visible locations.
Mr. Antoniades received a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Public Administration from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Mr. Antoniades is a recipient of the E. Drexel Godfrey Jr. Award for academic excellence from the School of Public Affairs and Administration at Rutgers. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of Pi Alpha Alpha National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration.
