Lawrence D. Garinello received a Bachelor's degree from Rutgers University, a Masters of Science degree from the University of Connecticut, and a Masters in Health Care Administration from St. Louis University.
At RWJUH, Mr. Garinello is responsible for strategic planning initiatives. His responsibilities include the development of strategic plans, evaluation of technology and facilities, and feasibility and marketing analyses. At the community level, he serves as the President of the Board for the Central New Jersey Maternal and Child Health Consortium, a community-based health care planning agency. He is also past president of the Healthcare Planning and Marketing Society of New Jersey, a state-wide professional planning organization. He also serves as liaison with many of the Department of Health and Senior Services personnel.
He is actively involved in preparedness planning in New Jersey, serving on the Executive Committee of the University Center for Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Response of Robert Wood Johnson Medical School-UMDNJ, Rutgers-The State University of New Jersey, and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. He was previously employed as the Director of Planning at Overlook hospital, where he was responsible for the strategic and operational planning for a large community teaching hospital.
