Michael Mimoso, FACHE, currently serves as Vice President of Operations for Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH). In this role, Mr. Mimoso provides administrative assistance to RWJUH Executive Vice President Vince Joseph in the areas of productivity systems and improvement and works collaboratively with Ms. Kari Mastro in the administrative direction of Women’s and Children’s services at the hospital. Mr. Mimoso is uniquely qualified to lead the functions now under his charge, bringing years of proven hospital experience – much of it at the CEO level – in both the non-profit and for-profit setting. He has directed operations at individual facilities, as well as major regional systems, including Health Quest Systems – the parent organization for the well-known Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Most recently he served as Chief Executive Officer of Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois, part of Community Health Systems, Inc., one of the nation’s leading for-profit operators of general acute care hospitals. He has successfully integrated new operational approaches to a variety of acute and post-acute settings, and demonstrated great skill in working with employed, as well as private physicians and physician groups. Mr. Mimoso also comes to RWJUH with an understanding of the New Jersey marketplace, having served previously as Vice President for Operations at Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood.
